Manchester Titans American Football Club

The 2009 Manchester Titans will get the season underway on the 26th April against division newcomers Hull Hornets. The addition of extra teams in Scotland has meant that a reshuffle has taken place with the Titans playing in a four team conference featuring Lancashire Wolverines and Chester Romans from last season with 2008 conference champions promoted to Division 1 and Hull Hornets making up the fourth team.

In order to make up the ten games the Titans will be playing out of conference games against Edinburgh (home and away), Glasgow Tigers (away) and Clyde Valley Blackhawks (home).

Senior Team Manager Tony McCulloch said “We’re very optimistic for the 2009 season with return of many veterans of the last five years combined with an outstanding rookie intake, we can’t wait for the season to get underway”.
